The Perfect Pair

It started with “hey, what’s up?” a DM on Facebook that started a relationship that was destined to last a lifetime.

Denise and Levi were set up through co-workers playing matchmaker. They found love during a time when neither of them were looking. Denise, focusing on her career as a nurse, spending her days off with family, friends, shopping and traveling to Disney World (still does). Levi, was also enjoying his days off by traveling to new places and hanging out with friends.

In the summer of 2018, they met in person for the first time. Their chemistry was undeniable and they both knew instantly that they had met a person that was going to make a significant impact on their lives—despite of how the first date went.

The first date ended at Point Pleasant where Denise and Levi sat on the beach as they talked for hours eating fried oreos. Their immediate connection was unmatched, as if they had been best friends for years. They have been inseparable since that night.

Their friendship blossomed into something more at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic – specifically on leap day, February 29, 2020, where they both took a leap of faith and made it official…pun intended.

Levi knew Denise was the one and wanted to make sure he planned the perfect proposal. Since Denise and Levi are both family-oriented, Levi knew that they would both want their families there during that special moment. Levi seamlessly planned the perfect weekend trip to Letchworth State Park for his birthday – to make it less obvious for Denise. All the couples in the family were taking turns taking pictures at _. When it was Denise and Levi’s turn, Levi went down on his knee and completely caught Denise off-guard. Denise turned toward the family and saw that Hayley, her future sister-in-law, already had her professional camera ready to capture the moment. At that moment, they both cried staring at each other for several minutes before either of them can get a word out. It was a memorable weekend for everyone.

They say opposites attract and Denise and Levi are no different. Denise, bubbly, quick-witted, and always laughing. Levi, more reserved, quiet, and serious. Their differences were complimentary and a perfect fit. They were what each other were missing in their lives—they made the perfect pair.
